PECULIARITIES OF TEACHING MATHEMATICAL MODELING IN THE COURSE GO HIGHER MATHEMATICS IN INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL SPECIALTIES

Mathematical education is one of the basic elements of the system of professional training of future specialists in technical and engineering specialties in institutions of higher education. For students of technical specialties, mathematics is not only an educational discipline, but also a tool for the analysis of professional activity, organization, modeling and management of technological processes. Recent achievements in science and technology would not be possible without the development and application of an effective mathematical modeling apparatus, therefore mathematical modeling is a powerful tool for solving technical, engineering, technological and scientific problems. The purpose of the article is to investigate the peculiarities of teaching mathematical modeling in higher education courses for the professional training of students of technical specialties. To propose recommendations and methodological approaches to teaching elements of mathematical modeling in the course of higher mathematics, taking into account the specified features. To achieve the goal, the work uses a set of modern methods of pedagogical research: theoretical – analysis, generalization, comparison, systematization of scientific and educational literature – to determine the current state of the problem; empirical – diagnostic (observations, interviews) – to determine the effectiveness of modern methods of improving mathematical modeling skills. Mathematical modeling skills occupy an important place among the general results of students’ mastery of the main educational programs (personal characteristics, results of a meta-subject nature), and subject results. Possession of the theoretical base and tools of mathematical modeling is an integral attribute of a modern specialist. The transformation of modern education in accordance with socioeconomic demands, the main task of training specialists in technical specialties involves the formation of students not only certain knowledge, abilities and skills, but also special competencies focused on the ability to apply this knowledge, abilities and skills in future professional activities. The scientific novelty of the research results lies in the methods proposed in the work, which allow to achieve a higher level of competence of students of technical specialties of higher education institutions by modernizing the content of education in such a way as to absorb the formulation of the individual educational trajectory of students of technical specialties from the first classes in higher mathematics, focusing on the connection of the educational material of all educational components with their future professional activity and prospects for the development of society. Using the method of mathematical modeling in the processes of formation of general mathematical concepts, when this method is the subject of study, modeling processes become a system-creating source of deployment of the arsenal of mathematics teaching tools. Such processes become an organic system-creating, system-generating medium that maximally corresponds to the very nature of mathematical activity. Modernization of the content of education should be based on the development of applied and innovative components aimed at forming highly competitive young workers in modern labor markets.
