INTEGRATION OF THE MOODLE PLATFORM INTO THE DIGITAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT OF UNIVERSITIES

Abstract

Іntroduction. The article examines the process of digital transformation in education, integrated with the modular learning and management system Moodle.
The purpose of the study is to analyse academic assessments of the digital platform, in particular its educational functionality, tailored to the needs of modern university education.
Methods. The research methods employed include a systematic and comparative analysis of contemporary domestic and international academic publications, and a synthesis of international experience in assessing the advantages and disadvantages of implementing digital technologies in education.
Results. The systematic approach provided a basis for identifying trends in the formation of a new educational environment, defining the conditions for digital transformation, in particular the modular Moodle platform, whose technological potential is not being fully utilised. The results highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the digital learning and management platform. The advantages include the reliability and accessibility of the system, simplified information management, and savings in resources and time. At the same time, the digital transformation of education requires specialised training, familiarity with the Moodle platform’s informational, communicative and assessment resources, and new approaches to teacher training. Disadvantages include the insufficient use of electronic and digital resources, which necessitates the development of relevant digital competences and the ability to critically evaluate the outcomes of learning activities.
Conclusions. The conclusions state that the use of the Moodle digital learning and management platform is the optimal approach to the digital transformation of universities, as it integrates technological innovations with the needs of the educational process, creating a unified system for training a new generation of lecturers and students. A promising direction is the creation of a functional model of eco-education, where digital management and learning technologies can be combined with the formation of digital literacy, social institutions, and student employment.
