Introduction. The article addresses the pressing challenges in contemporary teaching of fine arts within the framework of innovative methodologies. The rapid advancement of technology and evolving socio-cultural contexts demand a reevaluation of traditional teaching practices. The focus is on aligning these practices with the developmental needs and interests of younger students to foster their artistic, emotional, and cognitive growth. Purpose. The study aims to explore and propose innovative teaching approaches that enhance the learning experience in fine arts education for younger students. This includes examining project-based learning, interactive technologies, and individualized instruction to cultivate creativity and emotional intelligence. Methods. A review of recent pedagogical studies, classroom observations, and interviews with educators formed the basis of the analysis. The study also incorporated experimental teaching sessions to assess the effectiveness of the proposed methods. Results. Key findings highlight the potential of project-based learning to develop critical thinking and problemsolving skills in students through real-world tasks. Interactive technologies, such as digital art tools and virtual exhibitions, were found to expand students’ creative horizons. Individualized learning strategies were shown to accommodate diverse learning styles and foster a deeper engagement in artistic activities. Emotional support and the cultivation of emotional intelligence emerged as critical factors for creating a positive and conducive learning environment. Originality. This research introduces an integrated model that combines innovative teaching methods with psychological and pedagogical principles. The focus on emotional intelligence and individualized learning strategies adds a novel dimension to fine arts education. The application of digital technologies and alternative assessment methods, such as student portfolios, further distinguishes this study. Conclusion. The findings underscore the importance of innovative teaching practices in visual arts education to address the developmental needs of younger students. Recommendations for educators include adopting projectbased tasks, utilizing interactive technologies, and implementing individualized learning strategies. Emphasis is placed on the significance of emotional support and parental involvement.
